It is a good idea to purchase a pet casket before you are hit with the loss of your beloved pet if you can afford to and if you feel like you want to. If you can’t afford it or if you don’t like the idea, don’t feel obligated. What matters is that you do the best you can with with what you can.
The hardest part of owning a pet is losing our much loved companions. You will do yourself a tremendous favor if you can do some preparation before you lose your pet. You lose may your pet suddenly due to illness or an accident, and you should make preparations ahead of time.

The answers on these and other questions are as varied as the pets themselves. There is no wrong way to bury your pet by whichever method you choose if you take the time and put your heart into it. Your pet is not going to be angry at you, regardless of your decision.
If you use your backyard as the final resting place for your pet, make sure that you have the property owner’s permission and are in compliance with your localities legal regulations.
The pet should be buried at lest 24″ below the earth surface to prevent it from being dug up by other animals and to protect humans and other animals from disease. You must avoid underground utility lines and
protect public water sources from contamination caused by the biological breakdown of your pet’s body.
There are many types of pet caskets available. Many pet caskets are custom made and may be elaborate or plain. There are beautifully adorned and crafted pet caskets.There are biodegradable pet caskets which
allows them to return to the earth.
If you are good at working with wood, you may want to design and build your own pet casket. Or alternatively you could just wrap your pet in a sheet or bury it in a box. It’s a personal choice.
If you have a memorial service for your pet’s backyard burial, keep it simple; Only hold a pet funeral if your child or children are comfortable with it; Place an appropriate maker at he grave site.
If you decide on cremation, you can keep your pet’s ashes in an urn at home or scatter them over a favorite place. You veternarian can make the necessary arrangements.
Many people opt for burial in a pet cemetery. You will have to purchase a plot and a memorial stone and you can visit whenever you like. The pet cemetery will handle all of the arrangements needed to bury the pet.
